November 2013 Ipsy Glam Bag | Glam It Up

It's that time again when I share with you my November 2013 Ipsy Glam Bag that I received this month. The theme was Glam It Up, and there were a few products that I was really looking forward to. First, let's just show you what I received in my lovely little gold makeup bag.
This month's Ipsy bag was a metallic little gold case with a snakeskin texture and pattern and a hot pink zipper. I'm not really an animal print or texture person, but it's not real, so I don't mind it. It also came with these little cards that included our monthly discount rates and codes.
We received a total of six (6) products in our bags this month, which was a nice treat, because normally, we only receive five (5) items per bag. These are all of the products that were in my bag.
Be a... Bombshell Lip Crayon in Hot Damn (Gotta love that name!) - Full size 2.5 g, $14
Em Cosmetics Pillow Plush Lip Balm in creamsicle - Full size 5 g, $15
TRESemme Extra Firm Control Hair Spray - Sample 1.5 oz, $0.60 (Full size 11 oz, $4.39)
Pixi Beauty Bronzer in Subtly Suntouched - 3.2 g, $1.82 (Full size 10.21 g, $18)
Nailtini Nail Laquer in Champagne - Full size 0.5 oz $13
Starlooks Gem Pencil in Topaz - Full size 2.4 g $14

My one issue with my Ipsy bag this month is the hair spray. I've tailored my quiz and reviews to say that I don't need hair products, but for some reason, they sent me hair spray. Last month, I received blow dry gel. One of the products I was looking forward to was a sample of one of Glam Glow's masks. I was pretty upset about it, but I'm over it. Maybe next month, they won't disappoint.

Let me know if you want a review on any of these products. You know I'll have the nail polish swatched and reviewed for sure :).

Holiday Party Makeup and Outfit Inspiration | Sapphire and Sequins

Happy Thanksgiving! I've had my fill of custard pie, and I'm just about ready to enter a food coma. First, I must share this look with you, since the holiday season is here! Previously, I shared a post about a more Sultry Holiday Party look, and you can view that here if you missed it.

Today, I came up with something with a bit more glitz and a whole lot of glam. Taking my favorite color for this season, Sapphire, and pairing it with Sparkling Sequins, I ended up with something I would wear to a rather fancy dinner party. What's great about this is that it doesn't scream HOLIDAY ATTIRE! This outfit will work for just about any fancy party. The black dress is a statement piece and the sequins add a punch of glam. The accessories aren't too overpowering, yet add a little something special to the outfit.
As for makeup, I used some really pretty shades from the Urban Decay Vice 2 palette. I absolutely love wearing blues on my eyelids, and even though some may think it's so 80's, I think with a good eyeliner, you can tone it down and make it look very wearable.

Do you like this look? I hope you all have a happy holiday season!

Custom Munnies | A Sweet, Thoughtful Gift

A while back, I posted a photo on Instagram of a custom set of Munnies I ordered for my wedding tier topper. If you're not familiar with the Kidrobot Munny, it looks like this:

A friend of mine customizes these cute little figurines, and I figured why not give him a little shout out. Here is the set I ordered for my wedding:
Are they cute or what? I gave him the details, and he made some magic happen. This is of course me and my husband on our wedding day. How do you like my winky face? Hehehe
If you're interested in taking a look at his other creations, you can do so at Zard Apuya Art. If you like what you see, please LIKE his page to show that you do.

So what do you think? Cute, yeah? If you could have a custom Munny, what would you like? Also, leave a comment below if you would be interested in a customized Munny, courtesy of moi. :)

Meet Aimee from Chocobunnii and a Giveaway

November is ending, and it's about that time when I feature my Large Ad Sponsors. This month, I was lucky to have hosted such a sweet girl, Aimee. She blogs over at Chocobunnii, and describes her blog as:

Chocobunnii13 is a blog for everyone who has trouble feeling beautiful in their own skin. ^_^ It’s a beauty, lifestyle, and advice-giving blog that provides personal experience and honest reviews on the situations that occur on day to day basis. My motto is ‘be true and always be you’ because to me, being ‘beautiful’ means to be yourself. My blog is me being myself through nail/diy/makeup tutorials, beauty reviews and interacting with other bloggers around the world. I’m still a new blogger but hopefully I’ll inspire others to be their beautiful selves as well. :)
When she's not blogging about beauty products or life, she's attending college in California. Being originally from Hawaii, she's an island girl, just like myself, which I found very endearing. She's adorable, if you can't already tell from her photo, her spirit shines through very clearly. She has a motto that she shares with her readers, and it is: Be true, and be you. As simple as it sounds, sometimes, we could use a little reminder to stay true to ourselves.

So there you have it. Aimee is such a sweetie, and if you haven't checked out her blog yet, please hop on over and say hello!

Now, for the giveaway! Aimee will kindly be sending one of her lovely readers a $50 Amazon Gift Card, and I will be offering a Medium Ad Space on A Beauty Moment. Please read the terms below and enter through the Rafflecopter for a chance to win. Good luck!

Winter Grunge Fashion Statement

Winter is closing in, and in some places, snow is already falling. Can you please send some over to me, and I'll send some sunshine your way!
Today's post is something different - my first sponsored post! I know some people have their issues with sponsored posts, but hear me out. I wouldn't do it, if I didn't like what I was being asked to do. I don't lie, I don't take bribes, and I don't do bullsh*t. If you still don't want to read/see my post, then I'll see in you in my next one, but I think you'll like what I have for you. :)

ARK is a fashion retailer based in the UK, however, they do ship worldwide. They have a huge mix of fashions for men and women, so I think there's something for just about everyone. I was asked to take a look at this clothing line in particular - Winter Grunge, and of course, I had to pick out a few things that I really liked and create a little outfit inspiration for you guys, since well, that's what I do.

The following pieces would be so perfect for a nice night out. If your legs get cold, like mine, I'd recommend throwing on some thermal leggings for added warmth. The red dress is my favorite. It has a skater cut, long sleeves, and just looks so cozy and feminine at the same time. A gray cardigan is my staple piece - it will go with just about anything, and it's big, like a nice warm, safety blanket. A teal beanie, of course, because why the heck not? A nice scarf in contrasting black and white to keep my neck warm and looking cute. Now, the boots. Oh my, these boots! They're black with gold details, and it has cut-outs! Super cute, and it'll look great with some skinny jeans too.

So there you have it. A nice little outfit inspired by Winter Grunge.
What do you think? Do you like edgy pieces or do you prefer more delicate feminine pieces? All are great, if you ask me! :)

*This is a sponsored post, as stated above.
