October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and I figured that if I have to spend a little bit of money to get you ladies to think about breast cancer and spreading awareness, then it will be well worth it.
Breast cancer is scary shit. At the very least, you could lose part of a boob or you could lose one or both boobs. You could also die. I have heard survivor stories, but I've never known anyone personally that had/has breast cancer. My mom had a scare a few years back, and even though she's ok. I was still scared for her and for myself.
You may know someone who's battled breast cancer, and my heart goes out to you. In honor of those fighters, we need to spread the word about breast cancer and make the world aware of this disease. Widespread awareness encourages research to be done and people to donate and invest in those causes. We want people to donate and invest in breast cancer treatment and research! This helps communities and health care organizations fund grants and treatment options. Towns will come together and hold awareness events like the Pinktoberfest that's happening in Navarre, Florida next weekend.
