MAC LIPSTICK COLLECTION SWATCHES

MAC Lipstick Collection. I only have 10 MAC lipsticks in my collection, and I wasn't sure if it was "big enough" to share. However, I love these kinds of posts, so here it is! If you're into lip swatches, I made a little video if you'd like to have a peek.

What are some of your favorite lipstick shades from MAC?

GRWM CONCERT MAKEUP | TRAVIS ATREO PERFORMANCE

I'm going to start off with - this is not a sponsored post in any sense. I just think Travis is amazing. That's all. For those of you who follow me on Twitter and Instagram, you'll know that last night, I went to see Travis Atreo perform a small set in a nearby town. I adore Travis, his music, and his talent so much, and I support him through Patreon, which is like a fundraising type of site. Kind of like Kickstarter, but not really. You can find him on iTunes too!

Anyway, Travis invited us to come see him play a set, and of course, we jumped at the opportunity to see him play live. It was amazing! It was a very small function, a fundraiser for Girl Up, and I'm really happy we decided to go. My cousin and I were able to meet Travis - he recognized me, which made me really happy I didn't have to really introduce myself, haha! He sat with us through most of the show, and we were able to get to know each other better. When does this happen? Never to me. I feel extremely lucky to have had this opportunity, because he not only is an amazing musician, he is such a sweet and kind (and hilarious) person! He hugged every single person that came up to him, and spent some time with the other performers, especially the younger ones. Amazing.

I wanted to share this with you guys, since I NEVER do things like this. I don't go out to meet people, and I don't attend shows due to my anxiety. I had to go though, because it was Travis, and I am so glad I did. Take that, anxiety!

PICTURE TIME WITH TRAVIS!

GET READY WTH ME! - I'm talking with my cousin and my little on is running around throughout the video. I hope you don't mind my real life, lol. Oh, and yes, I know my lighting is kinda blue - I liked that setting for this video ;)

COLOUR POP LIPPIE STIX SWATCHES AND REVIEW

Colour Pop Lippie Stix Swatches and Review. If you've seen my previous post/video, you'll know that I really like Colour Pop, not only for their range and affordability, but also for their customer service. As affordable as these products are, you would think that they could afford to have terrible customer service - but that is definitely not the case. My Lumiere broke, and I contacted them about how to fix it. Kelsi got back to be with a coupon code for a new one plus free shipping. I.Love.Them. I'm pretty easy to please, as you can see. You just gotta be good to me. Currently planning my next haul. It should be a great one. On to the review and swatches, shall we!

My thoughts
Colour Pop has a wide range of shades in their Lippie Stix aresenal. At $5 a piece, you could easily build up a large collection. There is a color for everyone - from nudes to reds, from blue to black with some mermaid and unicorn shades too. There are different finishes available, such as satin, matte, glossy, and hyper glossy. Personally, I love the satin finish as they just glide on so smoothly, but the long-wearing power of the mattes keeps me happy too. I need to pick up some of the glossy shades next. These Lippie Stix smell like something I'm familiar with, but I can't put my finger on what it is exactly. I've heard it smells like Play-doh, but I was never a fan of the stuff, so I wouldn't know. Sometimes it smells like cookie dough, but again, I could just be hungry.

COLOUR POP LIPPIE STIX - Lumiere, Fetch, LBB, Bichette, Bossy

Have you picked up anything from Colour Pop? What are you craving for? What should I get?

COLOUR POP HAUL AND UNBOXING

Colour Pop Haul and Unboxing. My first Colour Pop order arrived last week, and in the midst of the chaos that is my life, I had to wait until today (Monday) to open this long-awaited package. If you haven't heard of Colour Pop, they are a kind of new brand that's popped up in this beauty world, and their products are extremely pigmented and ridiculously affordable. They just released a new collection of insane blushes, and all I can say is - more! I want more!

COLOUR POP HAUL & UNBOXING (closed captioned)
My overall experience with Colour Pop was good. Order processing was a bit slow, but that's all a test of patience anyway. Also, I did receive an almost broken Lippie Stix, and as soon as I swatched it, it broke off, which made me really sad. I e-mailed them about it, and they sent me a coupon code for a new Lumiere for free with free shipping too! How great are they?! Shoutout to Kelsi at Colour Pop! But yeah, here's my broken Lumiere Lippie Stix :(. It's still usable, but it doesn't apply precisely, so I'll need to be careful not to draw all over my face lol.

Some of the other products I got were Lippie Stix in Bossy, Bichette, LBB, and Fetch. I also got one of the new blushes in Prenup, and I got an eye shadow in Amaze from Hope for Christmas. Full reviews will be posted soon!

REAL TECHNIQUES MIRACLE COMPLEXION SPONGE | REVIEW, USES, HOW TO CLEAN

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I wish I could do a battle of the beauty sponges, but I don't really feel the need to pick up another sponge, since I have this little ditty right here. No offense to the Beauty Blender, but I think I'd rather keep my twenty bucks and spend it on some lipstick that I don't need but too gorgeous to pass up.

REAL TECHNIQUES MIRACLE COMPLEXION SPONGE
Beauty sponges have a couple of purposes - apply foundation, set foundation, blend out cream products such as highlight and contour. You just tap tap tap, and ta-da, perfection!

If you like a more sheer application of liquid foundation, you might like to apply it with a beauty sponge like the RT Miracle Complexion Sponge. When damp, this sponge creates a smooth, flawless, airbrush finish, without the streaks that accompany brush strokes.

How does it set foundation, you ask? Well, you could also dip this little guy (damp) into some loose or pressed powder to set your makeup, and this also adds a bit more coverage if you use a tinted powder. You could also spritz some water or your favorite face mist or setting spray onto the sponge and pat down on your face to set your foundation.

If you need to blend out your highlight and contour without distorting the lines, beauty sponges really help create a smooth blend while keeping your shadows and highlight in place.
This sponge has a flat side and a round, pointed side which makes makeup application really easy. You can get into hard to reach areas with the pointed side and cover more surface area with the flat side. However you want to do it, you can do it with this sponge.

If you have $6 to spare, you can pick it up at Ulta or your local drugstores that carry Real Techniques products. I definitely recommend this sponge if you're just getting into beauty sponges.

HOW TO CLEAN A BEAUTY SPONGE
There are a couple ways that you can clean your beauty sponges. One way is to use a couple drops of face cleanser or a drop of dish soap (nothing oily) and suds it up, massaging the sponge until you feel that it's clean. Rinse and squeeze until all of the soap is gone. Let air dry.

Another way to clean them is to buy this soap bar type thing by Beauty Blender. I don't recommend it, but since I haven't found a dupe, I'm hoping one of you have found one! Shout it out in the comments. I'm not anti-Beauty Blender, by the way lol. I just think it's a tad bit overpriced. That's all.

Do you like using beauty sponges to apply your foundation? Which one is your favorite?
